Patricia Lovstad

Patricia Lovstad, 65, of Westby, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Patricia Ann Lovstad lost her 37-year battle with Ovarian Cancer on January 24, 2018. She was born June 21, 1952. She was the eldest daughter of John and Evaline (Lancaster) McCormick, Rolling Ground. She graduated from North Crawford high school in 1970. From there she worked 3 years at Borg Warner, Darlington. In 1973 she married James Young, La Farge, they had one child, John Young. Patty spent her time making wedding cakes, raising tobacco, and feeding the neighborhood. They divorced after 24 years of marriage. Patty then went to work at Bethel/Elderhiem, Westby, where she met Alan H. Lovstad and they were united in marriage Aug 17, 1999. She then spent the rest of her career working at Norseland Nursing Home, Westby. Patty loved to craft, cook, talk on the phone, her dogs Emmie Lou and Willy, visit her Amish friends and she spent her Sundays playing with her grandchildren Clara and John. She is survived by her son, John (Lisa) Young, grandchildren Clara and John Young, La Farge; her mother Evaline McCormick, Rolling Ground; her sisters Teresa McCormick, Portland; Di McCormick, Rolling Ground; and Bernadette (Mike) Bergmann, Salem OH; many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephew and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Father, John McCormick; her ex-husband James Young; and her husband, Alan Lovstad. Per her request there will be no formal services. A private family burial will be held at a later date. She has requested Mass to be said on her behalf. Memorials can be directed to local cancer organizations. Patty will always be in our thoughts and prayers. The Vosseteig Funeral Homes are serving the family.
