Patrick Boland

Patrick Joseph Boland, age 71 of Gays Mills, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Sannes-Skogdalen Nursing Home in Soldiers Grove. He was born on the family farm near Gays Mills on December 17, 1942 to Dave and Mary (Fleming) Boland. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970 and had been stationed in Germany. Pat was employed with the Farmers Home Administration as a County Service Officer. He is survived by his siblings: Marita Crowley of Melrose, Mass, Therese (Wayne) Levi of Onalaska, Wis, Sr. Jane Boland, OP of Chicago, Ill, Helen (Michael) Melde of Lansing, Iowa, and Francis (Carol) Boland of Boscobel, Wis; sister-in-law, Cathy Boland of Seneca; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Boland and one brother-in-law, Jake Crowley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Marys Catholic Church. Fr. Zacharie Beya will celebrate the Mass. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery, Seneca. Friends may call at the church on Saturday after 10:00 a.m. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Gays Mills is serving the family.
