Patsy Jean Kumlin, age 66 of DeSoto, died on Friday, March 17, 2006 at Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse following an apparent heart attack. She was born on August 15, 1939 in DeSoto to Earl and Geraldine (Arnold) Wyburn. She married Milan Kumlin on December 2, 1961 and was by his side, helping him with his business ventures which included P&M Concessions in Black Hawk Park for 16 years and Kumlins Logging. Pasty always liked birds and also enjoyed playing cards, bowling and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church at Redmound and was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Patsy is survived by her children: Daniel (Cathy) Kumlin of DeSoto; Maureen Kumlin of Prairie DuChien; Darwin (Lenay) Kumlin of DeSoto; Amy (Dean) Kroning of DeSoto; and Renee Kumlin and special friend, Brad Honn of Clermont, IA; 15 grandchildren; her mother, Geraldine Wyburn of DeSoto; and one sister, Carol Snitker of DeSoto. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl on January 22, 1998 and her husband, Milan on January 31, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church at Redmound. Pastor Bill Busch will officiate with burial in the DeSoto Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 7 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 320 Main Street (Hwy 82) in DeSoto. Friends may also call on Tuesday after 9 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of DeSoto is serving the family.
