Paul A. Theige may 9 2005 Paul A. Theige, age 82 of Viroqua, died Monday, May 9, 2005 at the Vernon Manor Nursing Home where he had been a resident since October of 2004. He was born on May 11, 1922 to George and Inga (Peterson) Theige. On May 25, 1946 he was united in marriage to Betty Gabrielson in the Viroqua Methodist Church parsonage. He was a member of Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church where he had served as a deacon. Paul and Betty lived on Pauls home farm where he enjoyed farming, raising tobacco and woodworking. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, camping and hunting. In addition to his wife, Betty, Paul is survived by two children: Robert (Harriet) Theige of Sharon, Wis. and Karen (Ron) Haakenson of Viroqua; five grandchildren: Corey Theige of Houston, TX, Tanya (Matt) Siderits of Waukesha, WI, Leah Theige of Houston, TX, Erica (Erik) Mathison of West Salem, and Lee Haakenson of Viroqua; two great-grandchildren: Evan and Emily Siderits; one sister, Irene Anderson of Dubuque, IA; two sisters-in-law: Lucille Theige and Letha Theige; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Raymond (Alice), Ivan (Verna), Earl and Gerhard Theige; a brother-in-law, George Anderson; a niece, Judy; and a nephew, Jon. Paul A.
