Paul Nicholson

Paul Nicholson, age 80 of Gays Mills, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at his home in Barnum/Gays Mills. Paul was born in LaCrosse at St. Francis Hospital on August 19, 1932 to Fred and Dottie (Bugbee) Nicholson and was a lifetime resident of Crawford County. He worked for a telephone company in Minnesota. After leaving the company he worked for the creamery in McGregor Iowa. Paul then worked at the sawmill in La Farge, Prairie du Chien, and in Muscoda before he retired. Paul is survived by Dolores Miller of Gays Mills; two brothers, Phillip of Boscobel and Fred Jr. of Boscobel; two ex-sisters-in-law, Barbara Nicholson and Mary Nicholson, as well as many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and four uncles: Freeman, Valdo, Alvin, Raleigh; three nephews; and his twin brother Peter who died on March 1, 2013. A service will be held Friday, July 5, 2013 at Haney Ridge Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Gays Mills is serving the family.
