Paul Penchi Jr., age 52 of Viroqua, died Thursday May 31, 2018. Paul Bernard Penchi Jr., age 52, died Thursday May 31, 2018, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. Paul Jr. was born in Viroqua on June 25, 1965 to Paul and Eloda (Howell) Penchi. Paul Jr. worked as a hired hand on different farms, for little over a year after graduation. Then Paul had a farm accident at the age of 19, which left him paralyzed. Paul enjoyed snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, hunting and fishing. He had fun bowling, playing cards and watching his nieces and nephews play sports in school. He also enjoyed watching all Wisconsin sports teams. He loved woodcarving. Paul became an active member of Eagles Club Aerie 2707, held several offices, including president and trustee, and became Mr. Eagle in 2014, and attended meetings and Euchre night weekly. Paul thanked the Lord daily and went to church. God bless our memories of Paul Jr. Paul is survived today by his mother Eloda, his brothers Francis, Patrick (Amy), Peter (Anastasia), his sisters Pauline Walsh, Mary Lowe, Joan Rogers, Carol Jackson, Rose (Daniel) Kelley and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Paul Sr. and one of his nieces. A Funeral Mass for Paul will be Tuesday June 5, 2018 at 11:00AM at St. Marys Catholic Church in Viroqua. Fathers Michael Klos and Thomas Kelley will celebrate the Mass with burial in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Genoa following a luncheon at the Church. Friends may call during a visitation on Monday June 4, 2018 from 5:00 7:00 P.M. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Viroqua, also one-hour before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church on Tuesday. There will be an Eagles service at 7:00 PM with a Rosary following, at the Funeral Home Monday evening. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred in Pauls name.
