Paula Ostrem

Paula Ostrem, 62, of Readstown, died Friday, December 26, 2014. Paula K Ostrem, age 62, of Readstown, WI. Passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital. Paula was born August 2, 1952 to Santos and Rose Ellen (Keyser) Rodriguez. She graduated from Platteville High School and then attended Southwest Wisconsin Vocational-Technical School for Nursing Assistant. Paula worked at Parkview Terrace Nursing Home in Platteville for many years until she became disabled. In 1991 she married Cliferd Terry Ostrem and they resided in Readstown. Paula was a woman that loved everyone. She would give her last dollar to someone if they needed it. She loved to go camping, putting puzzles together, and being with her family. Paula is survived by her mother, Rose Ellen; two sons: John (Virginia) Necollins of Viroqua, and Dave (Carrie) Goss of La Farge; one daughter, Katherine (Frank) Vandenbergh of Gays Mills; one brother, John (Kay) of Blue River; two sister-in-laws: Janelle (Van) Thompson of Viroqua, and Candace (Ross) Everson of Arcadia; 12 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Paula was preceded in death by her husband, Cliferd Terry Ostrem, and her father, Santos Rodriguz. Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Bethel Lutheran Church. Pastor Duane Thomas will officiate with burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 12 pm till the time of service at 1.
