Pauline Marie Riley

Pauline Marie Riley, age 95, of Viroqua, Wisconsin, peacefully passed on January 16, 2026. Born on November 10, 1930, to the late William and Lillian Hedegaard in Viroqua, she lived a life marked by love, faith, and devotion to her family.

In March of 1954, Pauline united in marriage with Edwin J. Riley, with whom she shared a loving partnership and raised two children, Mary Riley and Michael Riley. Pauline’s commitment to her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, providing her with strength and solace. Her deep-rooted belief in the promise of eternal life assures her family that she is now reunited with loved ones in heaven.

In addition to her strong spiritual foundation, Pauline cherished her time spent with family, enjoyed Arizona, where she resided in Tombstone for several years—and found joy in reading, crossword puzzles, and exploring history.

Pauline is survived by her devoted children, Mary (Troy) Riley and Michael (Lisa) Riley; her cherished grandson, Jimmy Riley; and her sister, June Hedegaard. She also will be missed by her church family and many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin, and her grandson, Kyle John Riley.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Independent Baptist Church in Ontario, Wisconsin, on Monday, January 19, 2026. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, burial will be at Liberty Pole Cemetery. Pastor Gjefle will officiate the ceremony.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Vernon Manor, as well as Kate, Jessi, and the exceptional team at St. Croix Hospice for their compassion and care during Pauline's final years.

Pauline Marie Riley will be remembered for her kindness, faith, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
