Peter �Chip� Tisthammer, Jr.

Peter "Chip" Tisthammer, Jr., 74, of La Crosse, died Monday, May 16, 2005 Peter "Chip" Tisthammer, Jr., age 74 of LaCrosse, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2005 at the Lakeview Health Center in West Salem, Wis., where he had been a resident since March 10th 2005 from complications of Alzheimers and cancer. He had also been a resident at the Hearten House Alzheimers Group Home in Holmen, Wis. for a year. He was born on July 28th 1930 in Mt. Sterling, Wis. to Peter and Stella (Solberg) Tisthammer. He graduated from Seneca High School in 1948. He never married. Peter worked at Interstate Forging Industries, Inc. in Milwaukee for 40 years and retired in 1992. He is survived by a sister, Lorraine (Denver) McDowell of LaCrosse; a sister-in-law, Gwen (Bailey) Tisthammer of LaCrosse; his very special nephew, David Tisthammer of LaCrosse; his uncle Ernest and his wife Ruth Solberg; his uncle Russell and his wife Ruth Solberg; his cousin, Mervin Langve; a niece, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Murrell; a nephew, John Tisthammer and a niece, Diane McDowell; aunts and uncles.
