Peter Zibrowski, age 58, passed away peacefully at his home on May 26, 2025. He was born on July 6, 1966, in La Crosse, WI, to Harold and Phyllis (Zumach) Zibrowski. He married Suzette Jackley in 1992, and their greatest joy came with the arrival of their beloved son, Nathan.

Peter proudly served his country in the Navy for two years, an experience that instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life. Upon returning to civilian life, Peter found his calling in the construction industry, where he became a respected and skilled craftsman at Truss Specialists. His colleagues knew him as a man who could always be relied upon, a mentor to many, and a friend to all. A hardworking man, Peter took great pride in his ability to work with his hands, a trait that was evident in both his professional life and his passions.

He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, the Twins, the Gophers, and the Timberwolves, bringing the same enthusiasm to cheering for his teams as he did to every project he undertook. His love for sports was more than just a pastime; it was a way for him to connect with friends, family, and fellow fans. From his younger years on, Peter enjoyed the sound of rock and roll and rarely missed a chance to turn up the volume.

Peter’s memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared by those who knew him best. He is survived by his son Nathan; significant other, Maren Campton; siblings, Clara (Jeff) Post, Lucille (Norman) Lemke, James (Jeanne) Zibrowski, Edie (Clark) Bean, Joseph (Penny) Zibrowski, Paul (Kathy) Zibrowski, Andrew (Sheryl) Zibrowski, and Beth Schueler; Nathan’s mom, Suzette; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Phyllis; and a nephew, Dustin.

Peter’s family will gather on Thursday, June 12, 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Hokah, MN. Following the burial, family and friends are invited to a celebration of Peter’s life at the Hokah Fire Station, located at 9 Mill St. This will be a time for family and friends to share stories and have lunch together.
