VIOLA / Richland Center Phyllis Georgia Perry, age 96, originally from Viola died Friday September 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Schmidt Woodland Hills in Richland Center. Phyllis G. Perry, age 96, of Viola, died Friday at Schmitt Woodland Hills in Richland Center. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 30th at 11 a.m. at the Viola United Methodist Church. Pastor Larry Stegall will officiate, and burial will be in the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Henthorn Memorial Center in Viola; or at the church on Saturday from 10 until the time of services at 11. Survivors include 3 children, Rod (Helen) of Richland Center; Joanne (John) Sumwalt of Richland Center; and Marsha (John) Koch of Otsego (ot-SEE-go), Wisconsin. 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine White of Viola; 3 sisters-in-law, Margaret Hunter of Madison; Maryann Hunter of Wisconsin Rapids and Marian Perry of Richland Center, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, 2 children in infancy, Sandra Jeanne and Charles Kenneth; her daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Ardith Sutherland; brothers Jack, Leon (Bill), and Herb Hunter; sister Mary Jeanne Chauvette; her parents, Leon and Mabel Hunter; sister-in-law Lucy Ellen Hunter; and brother-in-law Frank Perry. The family requests that in lieu of flowers or plants any Memorials be made to The Viola United Methodist Church or to Schmitt Woodland Hills of Richland Center.
