Ranger Ron (Ronald Ray) Hayden, rural Star Valley, completed his earthly journey on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Ron was born on January 25, 1952, to Ray and Darlene (Turk) Hayden. He married his high school sweetheart, Susie Paulson (Carol Sue) on June 19, 1971, and they had two sons, Robbie Ray and Steven Elden. Ron is survived by his wife, Sue Hayden; sons, Rob and Steve (Maggie); his grandkids: Wyni, Peter, Lena, Ray, and Elijah; sister, Judy (Wayne) Myhre; and all who he loved dearly. Ron, a veteran, helped others and saved lives with a smile and a sense of humor. If you did not know Ron, then he succeeded by aiding and help others and saving lives without fanfare. A very special thanks to Dr. Paul Bergquist and Dr. John Farnen for helping him through the rough spots in his life’s journey. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Utica Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Gays Mills. Additional visitation will be held Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Ron will be laid to rest at the Gays Mills Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by McCormick Rose Post 308 of Gays Mills and William Schoville Post 220, American Legion.
