Raphie M. Knapp

Raphie M. Knapp, age 91 of LaFarge, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Raphie M. Knapp, age 92, of LaFarge and formerly of Racine, Wis., died during the evening of June 10, 2009 with family at her side. She was born on March 7, 1917 to Nunziato and Mary (Caliguiri) Bosso.Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sherry Knapp and son, Lawrence Knapp; grandchildren: Corina, Guthrie, Frances, and Samuel; great-grandchild, Eliot; and nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and step-father, Phillip Ruffalo, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene and sisters, Margaret and Rose.Raphie was a loving spouse, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed good health throughout her life and was active into her eighties. She enjoyed people and sports and for years belonged to groups of friends who golfed and bowled. She enjoyed vacations and fishing with her family, loved to travel, had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. She will be missed.Burial will take place at a later date at Calvary Ground Cemetery in Racine, Wis. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua, Wis. is serving the family.
