Raymond Jean Olson

Raymond Jean Olson, age 44 of Viroqua, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, October 1, 2006. He was born December 14, 1961 to William and Karla (Schultheis) Olson in Frankfurt Germany. Raymond was a 1981 graduate of Viroqua High School and served in the National Guard from 1980 to 1985. When it came to having fun, Raymond loved the outdoors and working with tractors. He will forever be remembered as a loving and caring son, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his mother, Karla Olson Shaw; his two brothers: Bill (Sarah) Olson of Readstown, WI and Norman (Jill) Olson of Steuben, WI; three nieces and one nephew; and one great-niece and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, his step-father and his brother, Mike David Olson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Pastor Gary Wees will officiate and Raymond will be laid to rest at the Viroqua Cemetery next to his brother, Mike with military rites by Viroqua VFW Post #3032. Friends may call on Thursday after 12:00 noon at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua.
