Raymond Moser, 81, of Westby, died Thursday, September 20, 2012. Raymond "Ray" Gene Moser was born March 16, 1931 at home in Manchester, IA to Rudy and Leota (Coffin) Moser. He married Ruth D. Smith on June 7, 1951. They lived in West Union, IA for several years before they settled with their children on their farm on Moser Ave off of HWY 82 south of Viroqua, WI. In 2005 they sold the farm and moved to Westby. Over the years he has served on local town and county boards. He was a hard worker. Ray worked right up to his final calling from the Lord to take his final resting place at the Lords Table. Ray is survived by his wife, Ruth; his six children: Mike (Sandy) Moser of West Union, IA, Ken Moser of Richland Center, WI, Cary (Joy) Moser of Westby, WI, Bev Brudos (Bryan Roth) of Mt. Zion, WI, Stan (Laura) Moser of Dansville, MI, and Kyle Moser of Westby, WI; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; his special dog, "Teddy"; a sister, Barbara (David) Gearhart of Dundee, IA; a sister-in-law, Judy (Helgerson) Moser; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and half-brother. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main St, in Westby. Richard Dudgeon will officiate with burial in Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. and also on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
