Rhonda Kay Wemmer

Rhonda Kay Wemmer, a beloved member of our community, passed away peacefully at Vernon Memorial Hospital on Sunday, November 12, 2023. Born on March 13, 1948, in La Farge, Rhonda spent her entire life making a positive impact on those around her.


Rhonda was a dedicated worker, spending most of her career working tirelessly at La Crosse Footware, and later at Whitehall Cheese. Known for her strong work ethic and commitment to her craft, she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Her dedication to her work was only surpassed by her love for her community. Rhonda was always eager to lend a hand and contribute her time and energy to causes close to her heart.


Rhonda's love extended beyond her family, as she was always ready to offer her assistance to those in need. Her baking and sewing skills were legendary with family and friends, and she often used these talents to help others.


Rhonda's passion for helping others was not limited to her professional and personal life. She had a knack for making everyone feel welcome and valued. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she consistently put the needs of others before her own. Rhonda's selfless nature was a beacon of hope and compassion.


Rhonda will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community. Her vibrant spirit, warm heart, and tireless work ethic will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life she led and the countless ways she touched our lives. Rhonda K. Wemmer will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those she left behind.


Rhonda is survived by two children, Misti (Brad) and Michael (Amanda); four Grandchildren: Jordan, Kinley, Britney, and Elise; many adopted Grandchildren; her Sister, Paula; Brother, Terry, and Brother, Gary; numerous nieces and nephews; Aunt Laurel and many cousins; two Bonus children, Leslie and Dustin; two Bonus Grandchildren; Bailey and Bryson, and two Bonus sisters, Dixie and Carol.


She was preceded in death by her parents, LLoyd "Laddie" Kellar and Velma Klein; her Brother, Dennis Kelllar; and Brother-in-law, Dennis Brooks.


A Graveside Service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Bear Creek Cemetery. A Celebration of Rhonda’s Life will follow at the La Farge Senior Center on Main Street. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
