Richard Frandle, age 85, died Friday, March 29, 2019. Frandle, Richard 'Dick' Richard Frandle, 'Dick' to his friends, and a child of God to the Lord Jesus, was given his crown of eternal life on March 29th, at the age of 85. Dick grew up in Austin, MN. Enlisting in the U.S. Army after High School, He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the ASA, achieving the rank of Technical (First) Sargent. Dick received Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), National Defense Service Medal / Marksmanship Badge, Sharp Shooter Badge, Good Conduct Metal, Comm Recon. Coming home, he went to college, where he met his wife of 52 years, Rochelle. They were blessed with 6 children. Dick worked for State Farm Insurance for 35 years enjoying the travel and conversation as a field underwriter. Dick was a life member of the VFW and American Legion. He served at Commander of the Lake Elmo VFW and was the resident insurance expert for the Marshall Legion as well as at his church home, St. Paul's Lutheran. Dick served wherever the LORD needed his humble service - Voter, Counter, Congregational delegate, Head Elder, Visiting members, President of the Council, Sunday School director, Called Worker Care Committee - making sure his Pastors and their families were supported as generously as possible. Dick is survived by his children, Victoria Frandle, Stephen (Crystal Cailing) Frandle, Alicia (Bryce) Funk, Kenneth Frandle, Andre (Victoria) Frandle. 19 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dick was the beloved patriarch as he loved his family with all his heart. Dick will be forever remembered as the best Dad and Papa anyone could ask for the simple fact that he loved his family the way the LORD gave him the strength, faithful, kind, patient, gentle, didn't keep record of wrongs, not rejoicing over unrighteousness but rejoiced with the truth, bore all things, believed all things, hoped all things, endured all things. Dad's love never came to an end by God's grace alone. Richard is further survived by his siblings, Eileen Majerus, Tom (Rita) Frandle, and Jim (Doris) Frandle; Brother-in-law Dick Roe, Sisters-in-law Barbara Frandle and Charlene (Jerome) Gunderson. His love for his brothers and sister had not bounds. Dad was planning on resuming his trips to Austin up until the very end. Richard was proceeded in death by his wife, Rochelle, son Roderick; parents, Harry and Irene (Muzyk) Frandle, and sisters Janet Caron and Helen Roe and brother Robert Frandle. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 13th at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sparta, WI at 11 AM with visitation preceding from 9-11, with Pastor Arthur Faught presiding. The committal will be Monday, April 15th at Medina Cemetery in Marshall, WI, where he will be laid to rest with both his wife and son. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. Memorials can be directed to the Marshall, WI American Legion or VFW or Vernon Memorial Hospice Program. The family extends our loving thanks to God for Vernon Memorial Hospice and the devoted and thoughtful care provided over the past couple months to our Dad.
