Richard Henthorn

Richard E. Henthorn, age 86, of Tamarac, FL, formerly of Soldiers Grove, WI, passed away July 29th, 2021. Richard was born to Perry Ray Henthorn and Flossie Pearl (Randall) Henthorn in Soldiers Grove, WI. Richard was predeceased by his husband, Anthony (Tony) Lujardo Otero, and by brothers and sisters: Leathel Salmon Henthorn, Gerald Ray Henthorn, Theron Jasper Henthorn, Gracie Mae (Smith) Henthorn, Herbert Perry Henthorn, and Della Pearl Salmon. It has been said that Richard inherited his fine nature, generosity, and kindness from his father, Perry. During their 57 years together, Richard and Tony lived in Minneapolis, MN, Plymouth, MA, Nashville, TN, and finally in Tamarac, FL. They travelled to South America and Europe and along the way they collected many clocks, art objects, friends, and memories. They were married in 2015. Richard worked in banking, medical transcription, and a few other professions. He was very interested in genealogy and nutrition especially in his later years. Richard also had a love for music, especially playing the organ at church and the piano with The Gospel Quartet in his younger years. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 13th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Sugar Grove Church of Christ in Soldiers Grove, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Broward .
