Richard L. 'Red' Bergh, age 59 of LaCrosse, passed away March 31, 2010. Richard L. 'Red' Bergh, age 59 of LaCrosse, passed away March 31, 2010 at his home. He was born on August 28, 1950 to Loren and Arlene (Stendahl) Bergh. He graduated from Westby High School in 1968, and then went to the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, where he graduated with degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science. Richard worked as an IT professional with years of experience in Network Administration and Technical Systems Support. He also taught at Western Wisconsin Technical College in the computer department. He had experience as a contractor and had many quality homes built in the area. His career took him to numerous cities, but he always called Westby home and he held a great pride in the family farm. He had a pilots license and enjoyed flying, boating and cars. Richard is survived by his sister Cheryl (Bill) Day of Westby; three nephews: Aric (Brooke) Day of Minneapolis, Cory (Jessica) day of Green Bay, Brandon Day of Minneapolis; great-nephews Caden and Colin Day of Green Bay; and one great-niece, Angelina Day of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents. In respect of his wishes, private family services will be held at a later date. The family would like to sincerely thank Beth & Richard Kilen of Westby for their kindness and support to Richard during his journey to sobriety. Though never reaching his goal, May He Now Rest in Peace With the Lord. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
