Richard Rick Iverson

STODDARD / WESTBY Richard Rick Iverson, age 58, died Sunday July 23, 2017, at home surrounded by loved ones. Rick was born in LaCrosse WI on October 21, 1958 to Marvin and Vera (Baldwin) Iverson. After graduating from high school Rick enlisted and served his country in the United States Army. Upon his discharge, Rick went to work doing what he enjoyed most of his life, working on tobacco farms mostly with his closest friend Johnny Lasso. Rick was a very caring person who liked everyone and loved his family, especially his brothers more than anybody ever knew. His big heart went out for all animals and really every living creature. He also loved flowers, his country music and his beer. Rick is survived by; his mother Vera, his significant other Christen Adams, his sister Marvene Charles, his brothers Kevin (Dawna) Iverson and Marvin Iver Iverson. He is also survived by; his adopted daughter Cassandra, and many nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his father Marvin and by a brother Daryl. Funeral Services for Rick will be Friday July 28, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main St. in Westby. Pastor Julie Wollman of Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Vang Cemetery with full Military Honors. Friends may call during a visitation one our before the service from 12:00 t0 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred.
