Rita Mae Davis

Rita Mae Davis, age 35, of Westby, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 13, 2020. She was born February 2, 1985, in Beaver Dam, WI, the daughter of Floyd and Margaret (Sadowske) Kitelinger. Rita had a tremendous love of animals that served her well in her chosen profession of a veterinary technician. She was very giving of her time and talents, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a foster mom to six foster children, whom she loved greatly. Rita was an avid traveler and enjoyed taking vacations with her family. She had recently taken an interest in pony pulling with her father to keep the family tradition going. Survivors include her husband Andrew Davis; her current foster children: Theresa, Zen and Lindsey; her parents Floyd and Maggie Kitelinger; her father and mother-in law Jim and Theresa Davis; her siblings: Michael (Lisa) Kitelinger, Karen (Mark) Yorey and Dorothy (Dan) Slager; her sister-in-law Juanita Yankson; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Rita was preceded in death by her grandparents and her godmother Gladys Mattson. A Funeral Service will he held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main Street in Westby. Pastor John Dumke will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Rita’s family would like to thank the Lincoln Township First Responders. Rita always ended every conversation letting you know that you were loved.
