Robert Bennett Dolan

La Farge, WI Robert Bennett Dolan, age 89, died on Friday March 16, 2018. Robert was born on April 22, 1928 to Bliss and Hazel (Hadley) Dolan in La Farge. Bob went to Dell School, then attended the blind school in Janesville WI. It was there he to read brail, and his woodworking skills. Bob worked on farms most of his life. He worked for Art Nelson changing tires and the chief cook, taking on the title "Mushy". Robert was born on April 22, 1928 to Bliss and Hazel (Hadley) Dolan in La Farge. Bob went to Dell School, then attended the School for the Blind in Janesville WI. It was there he learned to read braille, and also gained his woodworking skills. Bob worked on farms most of his life. He worked for Art Nelson changing tires and was the chief cook, taking on the title "Mushy". Bob held the family together throughout the years. He lived his whole life in the Dell area. He loved his family, his farming and his tractors. He enjoyed many things, like cooking, woodworking, his music and watching old movies. Bob is survived by, his brother Bernald of Dell, and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bliss in 1961 and Hazel in 1990, also his sisters Helen and Betty and brothers Burlie, Billie and Byron. The family would like to thank Dr. Sedgewick, Dr. Deline and the Bland Bekkedal and Norseland staffs for their wonderful support and caregiving. Funeral Services for Robert will be held Friday March 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the LaFarge Free Methodist Church, 214 S. Cherry St., in LaFarge. Pastor Bonita Dorschied will officiate with burial immediately following the service at the Dell Cemetery. Friends may call during a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Church. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials in Roberts name are preferred.
