Robert "Bob" Fish

Robert “Bob” Fish, age 86, of Bloomingdale, WI, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021. Robert served in the Army and after his service in Japan he married his gal from there and brought her back to the States. She was a great woman as she learned the American ways. They were married just short of 51 years. He was a mechanic and body man. He had his own business, Bob’s Repair, and he loved it. He really enjoyed his work of 20 some years at the Clinton town landfill. As for his junking, he figured every piece was good for something even though his place was full. He had plans right up to his last days that he would still be able to work in it. Even after two large fires, he still never gave up. He is preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Verle Fish; his wife, Horoka Fish; three brothers: Pete Fish, James Fish, and Henry Fish; one sister, Linda Nofsinger; one brother-in-law, Ruben Forde; nieces, Debbie Volden and Kim Fish; nephew, Robert Ricky; great-nephews, Jonathan Hoff and Heath Fish. He is survived by five brothers: Kirby (June) Fish, Jerry (Mya) Fish, Milford Jr. (Judy) Fish, Danny (Kenda) Fish, and Steven (Linda) Fish; one brother-in-law, Harold Nofsinger; eight sisters: Mary Forde, Lila Litsey, Dayle (Terry) Whiting, Jeanine (Terry) Squires, Christine Mellem, Rosa (Mike) Hanson, Judy Fish, and Betty Fish; one sister-in-law, Wilma Fish; and many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends, including many Amish friends. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Robert will be laid to rest at Bloomingdale Cemetery. A luncheon at the Bloomingdale Community Club will follow the graveside service at the cemetery.
