Robert "Bob" Mcclurg

Robert E. McClurg, age 93, of Viroqua, WI passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024.

He is survived by sons: Ron (Connie), Maurice (Greta), Steve (Lisa), and Duane (Susan); twelve grandchildren: Molly (Eric) Schuler, Katie McClurg, Michael McClurg, Quinn McClurg, Brady McClurg, Nicholas McClurg, Mason McClurg, Carson Emmert, Keaton Emmert, Dustin Lewis, Megan McClurg, Matthew McClurg; great-granddaughter, Lexi Schuler; sisters-in-law, Mayonne McClurg and Faye McClurg; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth McClurg; infant son, Mark McClurg; brothers: Roland, Clinton, Blair, Eldon and Don McClurg; and sisters, Lois McDowell and Helen Hill.

Robert was born in Vernon County to Walter and Laura McClurg on July 5, 1930. He was a graduate of Viroqua High School, and he completed the Agriculture Short Course in Madison. He began his career as a milk tester, and then worked at Production Credit Association until his retirement. After his retirement from PCA, he drove bus for VARC for several years. He has been active in the church all his adult life.

A funeral service will be held at the Viroqua Church of Christ on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Robert will be laid to rest in the Viroqua Cemetery.
