Robert “Bob” Tumi, aka Llama Bob, age 75, of Ferryville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 3, 2023. He was born July 13, 1947, to the late Paul and Irene (Lanskiewicz) Tumidajiewicz at their home on the south side of Milwaukee. Bob graduated from Boys’ Technical High School and went on to be a construction electrician. His entire electrician career was working for Pieper Electric, which he really enjoyed. While working as an electrician, he was also teaching at the local school, hoping to inspire others into the passion he had for his career.
Bob was a member of the Union local 494 in Milwaukee since 1967, and was Vice President of the Union from 1984, until his retirement. He has also been a member of the Independence Mason Lodge 80 since 1977, was Master Mason twice, and a representative from Wisconsin to the Grand Lodge of Estado do Maranhao, Brazil.
Bob wore many hats, whether he was llama Bob, Dr. Bob, or fishing Bob. He enjoyed his retirement by taking care of his small hobby farm where his wife, Charlene, and him raised and cared for llamas, sheep, pigs, and a variety of other animals. They were known to the people who enjoyed Sugar Creek Bible Camp as the people who had the animals.
Bob is survived by his wife, Charlene; his sons: Matt Nugent and Andy and Nick Tumi; his grandchildren: Ellis and Beverly Nugent and Samantha, John, and Ella Tumi; father-in-law, Donald Ciesielczyk; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Patricia Ciesielczyk.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated. Bob's family has set up a GoFundMe page to help maintain the farm and care for all the animals he loved so much - https://gofund.me/7a3a7b0b .
