Robert Hysel, age 76 of La Farge WI, died Sunday November 10, 2019. Robert S. Hysel of La Farge, WI peacefully passed away Sunday, November 10th, 2019, at his home. He was born January 18th, 1943 to the union of Amy (Parr) and Jonathan Hysel. Bob became a proud member of the Armed Services, United States Navy branch, in 1960 serving his country for four years as an EN3 and Machinist. His ship base was New Orleans, LA. On July 24, 1965, Bob was happily wed to Charlotte R. Meyer in Aurora, IL where they lived for a few years and where Bob embarked on what would become his vocation for 28 years in the printing business. In addition to working at a printing plant there, he was employed at and retired from NCR Corporation in Viroqua, WI. Bob wanted to get back to his roots and thought it a good idea to be a pig farmer. His pigs were "pets," and Georgette was even a trained Oreo cookie eater! Not only did he now work full-time and raise pigs full-time, he also became the owner of Hysels Town Tap. Side-by-side with wife, Charlotte, they proudly operated that business off-and-on for 12 years. Bob followed these endeavors by working in the building industry doing finish work and as a dry-waller and later served the community by starting a small engine repair business. Lawn mowers, weed trimmers, snow blowers, chain saws, etc. were brought to him by the dozens. Bob enjoyed hunting for many years and was an avid sports fan, very much enjoying watching the Packers, Badgers, Brewers and Nascar racing, and especially attending with Charlotte and Tamie all the naval ships reunions he could. Bob is survived by his daughter, Tamra (Phil) Warren; grandson, Ryan (Michelle) Strait; great-grandsons, Phoenyx, Keagen, Braxtyn; great-granddaughters, Cheyenne, Dakota, Kobi; brothers, Ronald and Jock; sisters, Gloria Rice and Joyce Hysel; many nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives, friends and beloved dog Phoebe.
