Robert Phinney

Robert Phinney, 65, of Viola, died Monday, September 11, 2017. Robert (Bob) O. Phinney, 65, of La Farge passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at Vernon Memorial Hospital. He was born April 27, 1952, in Viroqua, to Arnold and Elfrieda (Egge) Phinney. Bob was raised in Viola and graduated from Kickapoo High School. He worked at Reeds Market as a butcher for several years before closing. He also worked at Nelson Muffler for over twenty years. Bob enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, spending time with his family and friends at Phinney Punland. Bob is survived by his son, Tony (Dawn) Parr; brothers, Jerry (Tina) Phinney, Alan (Jaime) Phinney, Kenny (Karen) Phinney; several grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Elfrieda Phinney; maternal grandparents, Olaf (Emma) Egge and paternal grandparents, Robert W. (Irene) Phinney and infant grandson, Anthony Parr. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call during a visitation at the Vosseteig Funeral Homes Henthorn Memorial Center on Friday from 10am till 11am. A Luncheon will follow at the Viola American Legion.
