Robert Stanley Danick, age 74 of DeSoto, WI died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at his home. He was born August 10, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Stanley and Celia (Szczepanek) Danick. He married Nelliebell Dillamon on June 25, 1956. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. He worked as a purchasing agent in Chicago for 26 years prior to moving to New Lisbon, WI where he owned and operated the Sit-n-Bull Tavern. Following his move to LaCrosse, he worked for Mikes Building Supply for many years. Robert is survived by three children: Michele T. (Henk) Zijlmans-Danick of Anna Paulowna, the Netherlands; Alan S. Danick of Sparta; and Monique G. Dillamon of Kingston, WI. He is further survived by two grandchildren, Jason A. Danick and Chenoa D. Danick; one great-grandchild, Cailyn R. Danick; and his sister, Rita (Jack) Victor of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Genoa. The Rev. Roy Witucki will celebrate the Mass. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, September 2, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of DeSoto is serving the family.
