Rodney "Rod" Muller, a loving and selfless husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully
surrounded by his family on April 25, 2023. Rod was a devoted family man who always put the needs of his loved ones first. His thoughtful nature and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rod is survived by his loving wife, Marcine, and their eight children: Diana, Rick, Pat, Yvonne, Dean, Kim, David, and Terri. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, cherishing the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rod's family was his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments.
Rod served his country in the United States Air Force, where he developed a strong work ethic and sense of duty. After his time in the military, Rod embarked on a successful career as a truck driver. His dedication to his work was evident in the long hours he spent on the road, ensuring that goods were delivered safely and on time. Rod's commitment to his profession earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers.
Rod's love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting and farming. He spent countless hours in the woods, enjoying the peace and tranquility that nature provided. Rod was always eager to share his knowledge and skills with others.
Farming was another of Rod's interests, and he dedicated much of his free time to tending to his land. Rod's love for the farm was a testament to his strong connection to the earth and his appreciation for the simple pleasures in life.
Rod's selflessness extended beyond his family and work, as he was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Rod's generosity and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we mourn the loss of Rodney "Rod" Muller, we also celebrate the life of a man who touched the lives of so many. His loving, selfless, and thoughtful nature will forever be remembered by his family, friends, and community.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or St. Joseph Indian School in South Dakota.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the La Farge Free Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Full military honors will take place following the service followed by a lunch at the church. Rod will be laid to rest at a later date at Bear Creek Cemetery.
