Roger Allan Olson, 64, of Ferryville died on Thursday, February 16, 2012 Roger Allan Olson, 64, of Ferryville passed away at his home on Thursday, February 16, 2012. He was born August 9, 1947 to Lewis and Gladys (Hoffland) Olson. He was baptized and confirmed at the Mt. Sterling Lutheran Church. He served on the church council and was a faithful usher and reader for many years. He farmed for several years, worked at Burkum Milling in Soldiers Grove, Johnsons One Stop in Seneca, and for the past 23 years he was employed at MPC in Prairie du Chien. He belonged to the Gays Mills Sportsman Club and served as their Treasurer. He was also an avid Green Bay Packer Fan. He is survived by his fiance Wanda Everson; sister-in-law Anna Marie Olson of Kenosha. His children Melissa (Myles) Calloway of Mineral Point, Scott (Felecia) Olson of Holmen, Eric (Sue) Olson of Onalaska; 6 grandchildren; aunts Nora and Mabel Olson; niece Diane (Scott) Schweitzer of Racine; nephew Todd Olson of Kenosha; great-nephews Michael and Daniel Schweitzer; special cousins Larry and Sandra Anderson and Mark and Sandy Anderson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 20 at Mt. Sterling Lutheran Church. Pastor Anna Sorenson and Pastor Doug Andersen will officiate with burial in Freeman Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 3:30 until 6 p.m. at the Dommersnaes-Bertram Funeral Home in Gays Mills and on Monday at church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. The Dommersnaes-Bertram Funeral Home is serving the family.
