Roger 'R.G' Olson, 72, of Westby died Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Roger Grant "R.G." Olson, age 72 of Westby, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011. He was born on August 22, 1938 to George and Borghild (Nordlie) Olson. He graduated from Cashton High School. He married Jackie (Petty) Dvorak on July 2, 1977. In addition to his wife, Jackie, he is survived by two sons, Keith (Candi) and Karl; one daughter, Kris (Steve Glunz) Holen; three step-sons, Verdun Dvorak Vincent "Flip" (Teresa) and Myron (Angie); seven grandchildren: Casey (Heath) Duxbury, Nicholas Ripley, Dereka and Dayton Holen, Jamie McClurg, Cody and Tanya Dvorak; eight step-grandchildren: one brother, Gerald (Pam) Olson; one nephew, David Olson; his best friend, "Scrappy" the dog; cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Pastor Dennis Hallemeier will officiate with burial in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, 708 S. Main (Hwy 14) in Westby. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday after 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
