Roger Hage, age 70 of Coon Valley, died Friday, December 21, 2007 Roger Hage (M.O. Roger Hage), age 70, of rural Coon Valley passed away peacefully at Norseland Nursing Home on December 21, 2007. He was born to Melvin and Olga (Storbakken) Hage on September 4, 1937, at their home in rural Coon Valley. He graduated from Westby High School in 1955 and he attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He married Jean Olson of rural Cashton on June 20, 1959. They had six children. Roger worked for Trane Company in La Crosse as manager of the export sales office for 40 years until his retirement in 1999. He was interested in old cars, ran his own tax service and had a realty business. Roger loved traveling all over the world and meeting new people. He enjoyed his hobby farm, his pet Cee-Cee, snowmobiles in the winter, camping during the warmer months, and being with his family, especially with his devoted wife Jean. He is survived by his wife Jean, his daughter Deb Hage of Coon Valley, and three sons - David Hage (Jill) of Hickman, Nebraska; Richard Hage (Michele) of Denver, Colorado; and Jon Hage (Ruth) of La Crosse, WI. He has eight grandchildren (Ben, Brian, Bethany, Brynn, Ada, Macy, Jennifer, and Jeffrey). He is also survived by his sister Annie (Harvey) Piske of Rockland, WI, and his aunt Alma Mickelson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Olga Hage, two daughters (Lori and Lisa Hage), and his mother and father-in-law (Palmer and Esther Olson). Visitation will be held Thursday, December 27, from 5 to 7 pm at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. There will be visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 pm on Friday, December 28, at the Westby Coon Prairie Church in Westby, WI, followed immediately by the funeral service at 1:30 pm. Burial will be in the Coon Prairie Cemetery. A reception will follow the service. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family.
