Roger Lee Kvigne

MT. STERLING Roger L. Kvigne, age 69, of Mt. Sterling, died on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at his home. Roger was born August 26, 1948 in Viroqua to Adolph and Beatrice (Ellefson) Kvigne. He was baptized, confirmed and a life long member of Utica Lutheran Church. He graduated from North Crawford High School in 1966 and from Golden Valley Lutheran College in 1968. Roger farmed in partnership with his parents until the mid 1980s and became their caregiver after their retirement. In 1995 they moved to Mt. Sterling. Roger was a good neighbor and friend, always willing to help with various tasks. Roger is survived by: a brother Alvin (Konnie) Kvigne of Ferryville, a nephew Scott Kvigne of Eden Prairie MN, two nieces; Lisa (Steven) Case of Robinsdale MN, and Amy (Dennis) Emerson of Ferryville, and numerous cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Utica Lutheran Church, Rte 27, rural Ferryville. Pastor Nile Sandeen will officiate with burial following the service at the Utica Church Cemetery. Friends may call during a Visitation one-hour before the service from 10:00-11:00 at the church. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be directed to the Utica Cemetery Association or charity of donors choice in Rogers name.
