Ronald Dahl

Ronald Dahl, 75, of Westby, died on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Ronald Leroy Dahl went home to be with the Lord April 19, 2016. He passed away at home at the age of 75. Ronnie was born November 13, 1940 to Stanley and Hazel (Rude) Dahl. He passes away at the same place where he was born. Ronnie graduated from Soldiers Grove High School. He then joined the Navy for four years and saw the world. When he returned home he and brother Larry and his dad operated the John Deere shop in Westby for a few years. Ronnie coached a womens softball team and also pitched for the mens slow pitch softball team. In 1966 he and Sharon Dank were united in marriage. They decided to be farmers and that lasted for forty years. The couple raised five children. Ronnie enjoyed collecting sports cards and fishing. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sharon; three sons: Nick (Nicole) of La Crescent MN, Tim of Cashton, and Jason (Holly) of Madison; one daughter, Lisa (Mark) Stamper of Glen Flora WI; ten grandchildren: Adrian Polodna, Ally and Ava Dahl of La Crescent MN, Cody Dahl of Cashton, Andorra and Salvador Dahl of Madison, Megan (Tyler) Feirtag of Weyauwega WI, and Jacob, Haley, and Colin Stamper of Glen Flora; one great granddaughter, Eden Feirtag; two sisters: Linda (Rodney) Ewing of Readstown, and Barbara Schmidt of Onalaska; two brothers: Larry (Mercedes) of Nevada, and Mike (Grace) of Holmen. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Eric. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Bethel Lutheran Church. Pastor Pete Beckstrand and Rev. Paul Tjelta will officiate with burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby.
