Ronald W. Smith, 73, of De Soto, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Ronald W. Smith, 73 of De Soto, WI died on Wednesday July 31, 2013. He was born on September 8, 1939 to Taft and Della (Trotter) Smith in Batesville, Georgia. Prior to Retiring in 1990 he worked for Beck Carton Corp in Milwaukee, WI as a Die-Cutter and then he purchased the River Lounge in De Soto, WI where he spent his retirement as a business owner, and he enjoyed spending time with friends and family there at the bar. Ron also enjoyed working on old cars and vintage tractors in his spare time. Survivors include his wife Laurie Kuhnke of De Soto and 3 children Calvin (Terry) Smith of Georgia, Kimberly (Steven) Betsinger of Storm Lake, IA and Richard (Kathryn) Smith of Stoddard, WI. Also 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and also 2 siblings Lewis (Bonnie) Smith of Mt Airy, GA and Olene Loudermilk of Mt Airy GA and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Maurice. The visitation service will be on August 6th, 2013 from 4-6 pm at Vosseteig Funeral Home, De Soto WI. Afterwards at the River Lounge in De Soto, WI there will be a luncheon in his honor
