Rosie Driscoll

Rosie Driscoll, age 74, of La Farge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She was born on March 1, 1951, to the late Theodore “Ted” and Ethel (Fosdal) Lombard. Rosie was raised in La Farge and never left her hometown, attending La Farge High School. On January 4, 1970, Rosie married the love of her life, Ron Driscoll Sr., in West Lima.

She worked at VARC Inc. for many years, always supporting those who worked beside her. When she wasn’t at work, Rosie could be found spending countless hours in her flower and rock gardens, always searching for the most beautiful rocks and exquisite flowers. Rosie loved to dance and when she had free time, she was drinking coffee up town with her sister, Dorothy and her husband, Ron. Her family to this day remembers the amazing homemade noodles that she always made, but she never wrote the recipe down, always remembering it by heart. Rosie’s love for her dogs filled her heart, but she always had a special warm spot for her most recent dog, Jake.

Rosie’s family was the most important part of her life, cherishing times where her family gathered for any sort of celebration. She is the definition of a “great” grandma. She especially loved to spend time with her family as they frequented thrift stores and rummage sales, always looking for that hidden gem.

Rosie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ron Sr.; her children: Ron Jr. (Shelly Suiter), Tabitha (Todd) Volden, and Pamela Driscoll; her grandchildren: Elizabeth (Travis), Tyler, Austin, Seth (Kendra), Chandlor, and Tessa; great-grandchildren: Isabella, Renley, and Emma; her siblings: Ramona Wettstein, Carolyn Sullivan, Dorothy Rickey, Mary Christopherson, and Mark (Sandy) Lombard; brothers and sisters-in-law: Al Driscoll, Connie (Greg) Smith, Michael (Christy) Driscoll, Scott (Pam) Driscoll, Glenn (Carol) Driscoll, and Colleen Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Rose Marie; siblings: Raymond (Cynthia), Lloyd, Patricia Hughes, Donna Driscoll, and Jane Holtz; and sisters-in-law, Linda Mindham and Kathy Duda.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the La Farge Free Methodist Church. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in La Farge. An additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rosie will be laid to rest at Star Cemetery, rural La Farge.
