Ruby A. Hay

Ruby A. Hay, 91, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Autumn Lake Healthcare Center.

She was born September 21, 1932, in Richland County, WI, the daughter of Herbert and Clara (Craig) Haines. Ruby was a 1951 graduate of Wauzeka High School, Crawford County, WI. She married Richard Hay on October 11, 1952. He predeceased her on August 26., 2008.

Ruby was formerly employed by Fairbanks Morse and was a waitress at various restaurants. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards in card clubs.

Survivors include her sons, David Hay of Beloit, WI and Dan (Paulette) Hay of Necedah, WI; grandchildren: Jeremy (Kim) Hay, Jennifer (Scott) Hollick, Vicki (Phil) Bull, Mike (Jamie) Mead, and Nicholas (Kayla) Hay; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Art (Sandy) Haines; sister, Darlene (Walter) Girton; sisters-in-law: Karen Hay, Lois Hanson, and Sherry Haines; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers: Terry (Sherry) Haines, Bernard (Mary) Haines, Tom (Joyce) Haines, and Harley Haines; sisters: Ruth (Hogie) Hogan, Ida Ward, and Linda (Gordon) McCullick; in-laws, Clayton Hanson and Robert Hay; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Hay.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at North Clayton Methodist Church, rural Soldiers Grove. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Ruby will be laid to rest at the North Clayton Cemetery next to her husband, Richard.
