Ruth Ann Kvigne

GAYS MILLS Ruth Ann Kvigne passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Sannes Skogdalen Nursing Home, Soldiers Grove, WI. Ruth Ann (Turnmire) Kvigne was born September 2, 1929 at her home on a farm in Barnum, WI, to Grant and Rosetta (Smith) Turnmire. She was a graduate of Soldiers Grove High School. On October 19, 1957 she married the love of her life, Arvid Kvigne. They lived their whole married life in Gays Mills. She was a lifelong member of Luther Memorial Church in Gays Mills. She was a member of the Womens Auxiliary. She owned and operated Kvigne Shoe Store in Gays Mills and also worked at Sunrise Orchards and the Kickapoo Orchard. She enjoyed her travels to Norway, Arizona, California, Mexico but most of all traveling to see her brother and sisters and their families. Ruth was happiest being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her son, Jay (Kim) Kvigne, Clear Lake, IA; two daughters, Cheryl (Mark) Dickman, Ridgeway, IA, and Lana (Steve) Randall, Soldiers Grove, WI; three grandchildren, Jill Randall, Ashley Randall, Ben (Becky) Stealy; and four great-grandchildren, Kira Randall, Axtyn Randall, Charlee Rose Tuggers and Oliver Stealy; and her beloved brother, Bill Turnmire. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvid Kvigne on June 22, 2007; her parents, Grant and Rosetta Turnmire; and two sisters, RoseMary Runice and Joyce Mageland. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Vosseteig Funeral Home, Hwy 131, Sunset Ridge Ave. in Gays Mills. Pastor Nile Sandeen will officiate with burial to follow in the Gays Mills Cemetery. Friends may call on the family at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00 -3:00 P.M. before the service at 3pm A meal will follow the services at the OLD Community Building, downtown, in Gays Mills. In lieu of plants or flowers, memorials may be given to Vernon Memorial Hospice or the Luther Memorial Church.
