Ruth was born August 30, 1921 on South Ridge, Town of Coon, Vernon County to Christian and Ansoph Sagmoen. She was baptized at Vang Church and was then confirmed at Vang church in 1936. They moved to Westby when she was in third grade. She graduated from Westby High School in 1940.Ruth married Burns Morrison June 22, 1940. They lived in Brush Hollow for six years and then moved to Viroqua. Ruth was employed by Johnson Drug Store and then the Viroqua Telephone Company until her retirement. One of her greatest enjoyments after retirement other than her family was the Old Style Polka Club.She is survived by six daughters, Judy (Winston) Tally, Sue (Tim) Moran, Sandra (Mike) McGregor, Christine (Tony) Reed, Bonnie (Richard) Running, Debra (Jim) Hanson; grandchildren, Bridget (Joel) Brill, Beth (Todd) Quackenboss, Aimee (Matt) Lempke, Rich Moran, Steven (Michelle) Moran, Heidi Houck (special friend Tim), Todd (Kim) McGregor, Troy (Kathy) McGregor, Jeremiah (Lee) Reed, Benjamin Reed, Shawn (Trisha) Running, Karn Simonson (special friend Todd), Justin (special friend Amanda), Joshua Peterson, Lucas Swenink, Mattea Swenink, Jaimee Hanson, and Angie Macasaet: Great-grandchildren, Zachary and Hailee Brill, Emma and Neil Quackenboss, Mason Lempke, Spencer and Jackson Moran, J.T., Angela, and Jacob Houck, Ethan McGregor, Sydney McGregor, Connor and Zander Reed, Kyle, Desi, Kelsey, Lindsey, Seth Running, Cole and Carter Simonson, and Remington Running; a sister, Hjordis (Clem) Evenson; many, many loving nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband Burns, infant son, brothers Lester, Morris, Ivan, and Kermit, and sister Addie.
