Ruth "Noggle" Patterson, age 81 of Viroqua died Monday, April 9, 2007. Ruth "Noggle" Patterson, age 81 of Viroqua passed away Monday, April 9, 2007. She was born October 3, 1925 in Viroqua, WI to Mable (Nelson) and George Wolfgram. She was baptized at Main Street Lutheran Church in Viroqua and confirmed at Coon Prairie Church in Westby. Ruth married Nathan Noggle Jr. in 1946 and they later divorced. She married Vernor Patterson in 1979. Ruth was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the WELCA and Priscilla circle, and friends of Vernon Memorial Hospital. She is survived by one son, Chuck (Brenda) Noggle of Viroqua, WI; four daughters: Judy (George) Gucwa, Naperville, IL; Joan (Jim) Burkhardt, Viroqua WI; Janet Myhre, Viroqua, WI; Pamela (Joe) Kushava, Fox Lake, IL. One stepson Paul Patterson, Enterprise, AL: one grandson and seven granddaughters: eight great-grandchildren and one great-step-grandson: a sister-in-law: Darlene Wolfgram of Prairie du Chien, WI; brother and sister-in-law Earl and Gloria Patterson of La Crosse, WI; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Vernor, and brother Herman Wolfgram and a step-granddaughter Barbara Patterson. Ruth enjoyed time with family and friends, quiet moments watching birds and doing crewel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Viroqua. The Rev. Lindsay Paul Jordan will officiate with burial in the Viroqua Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua and at the church after 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church sound system update. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
