At five weeks old, Ryne David Fisher passed away in the loving arms of his parents at the Gundersen Lutheran NICU where he had been cared for by the wonderful staff during his short life. He entered this world fifteen weeks premature with a fighting spirit and weighed just 1 pound 2.7 ounces. Ryne responded to his parents voice and touch by squeezing their fingers, wiggling his perfect little toes, and opening his beautiful eyes. He loved the song Rock-a-Bye Baby and a special song sang to him by his mother. Tummy time was his favorite as well as his oral cares. Born with the dark hair of his father, his hair was quickly changing to the reddish tone of his older brothers. His long eyelashes and the dimple in his chin melted the hearts of many. Baptized at one week of age, the prayers of many allowed his family to treasure four more precious weeks of life. He was everything we hoped for and will be dearly missed. His beautiful time on earth will forever be cherished by his parents Michael and Angela Fisher of Westby; brothers Lane, Reid, Will; grandparents Don and Marilyn Palmer of Eastman, Tom and Joyce Fisher of Seneca; great grandparents Herb and Helen Schneider of Prairie du Chien, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is now in the loving arms of his great grandparents Glen and Ethel Palmer, Tom and Florence Fisher, Ivan and Marjorie Trautsch and cousins Beau and Chloe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, August 8, at St. Marys Catholic Church, Viroqua, with Fr. Joe and Fr. Robert Cook co-officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Family and friends are invited to call at St. Mary's from 3 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to the March of Dimes and the Children's Miracle Network. To send an online condolence please visit www.vossfh.com. The Vosseteig Funeral Home, Westby is assisting the family with arrangements. 'Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.' A.A. Milne
