In Loving Memory of Serena Bockhorst (Geller)

Serena, a woman of complexity and quiet sorrow, has departed this world. Her life was a journey through both light and shadow, marked by love, but also by deep internal battles that often kept her from fully embracing the connections around her.

She loved many, yet struggled to give that love in the ways they longed for. Lost in sadness and the weight of past wounds, she never quite learned to offer herself the grace and acceptance she deserved. Yet, beneath it all, she was an amazing, funny, and loving person—one whose brightest self was too often hidden, but unforgettable to those who glimpsed it.

Her proudest legacy is her four beautiful daughters, the greatest gifts she brought into the world. Though she gave them life, she missed out on some of their most precious years, caught in a cycle of her own pain and memories of the past. Despite this, they carry her strength, her spirit, and pieces of her laughter and love with them.

Serena will be missed in many ways, each shaped by the unique relationship she had with those who knew her. Some will grieve the lost potential, others will smile at the memories of her humor, her warmth, and her humanity.

May she now find the peace she spent her life searching for.

Serena is survived by her daughters: Silkie-Rae Geller, Alexis Fannan, and Ashley (Jared) Wahmhoff; her grandchildren: Conrad, Arlo, Greylan, Zander, Aiden, Zaria, and Abe; her mother, Rosa Geller; her siblings: Gary Geller, Clifford Geller, and Charlene Stanley; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Geller; her daughter, Kimberly Fannan; her brother, Douglas Geller; and her sister, Laura Weber.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
