Sheree Ann Thompson

DeSOTO / HUNTSVILLE, AL Sheree Ann Thompson (Mueller), age 60 formerly of the DeSoto area, died Tuesday June 27, 2017. Sheree was born on May 1, 1957 to Dale and Darlene (Sandvick) Mueller Sr. She graduated from De Soto High School. Sheree earned her Bachelors degree in business and management from the University of Maryland University College and her Masters degree in Public Administration from the Troy State University. From September 1992 through June 2000 she worked her way from Auditor Intern up to Auditor at the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command in Warren, MI and DoD OIG in Washington D.C. In August 2009 Sheree became the Director of the Internal Review and Audit Compliance Office. During her 36 years of service, she has worked in various areas, such as acquisition, logistics, manpower, readiness, information systems, accounting, and administration. Sheree is survived by: her husband, Weldon; four children: Weldon Jr, Franklin, Kimberly, and Jessica (Thomas); 11 grandchildren: AnnMarie, Lovisa, Daniel, Patricia Dua, Johnathan, Kiara, Steven, Aiden, Lukas, Gavin, and Gabriel; great grandchild, Isaiah; her mother, Darlene Timmer of La Crosse, WI; her father: Dale Mueller, Sr. of La Crosse, WI; Two Sisters: Teresa (Verlin) Christianson of Genoa, WI, and Dawn (Ronald) Allert of Highlands Ranch, CO; One Brother: Dale (Barbara) Mueller Jr. of West Salem; Sister-in-Law, Jane Mueller-Henkes of Centennial, CO; Nieces and Nephews: Eric (Erica) Koch of De Soto, WI, Aaron (Jennifer) Koch of Cashton, WI, Rickey (Sara) Christianson of Cashton, WI, Darleen (David) Walker of Kasson, MN, Dale (Kristen) Mueller III of White Plains, NY, Jon (Libby) Mueller of Onalaska, Tony Mueller of Onalaska, Michelle (fiance Andy Kraemer) Mueller of Plain, WI, Jenna (Pete) Starmer, Whitney (Jesse) Martin, Jake (Shelby) Mueller, Jesse (Christie) Hanson of Thorton, CO, Meghan (Jack) Tryon of Aurora, CO; 19 Great Nieces and Nephews; and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. She was preceded in death by: two Brothers: DuWayne Charles, at birth and Daniel Ray (1994); Maternal Grandparents: Lenwid and Virginia Sandvick; Paternal Grandparents: Andrew and Thelma Mueller; one Aunt, Sandra Abbott; and one Uncle, Robert Mueller. Funeral services for Sheree will be Saturday July 8, 2017 at 12 oclock noon, at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker St. in Viroqua. Burial will follow the service at Walnut Mound Cemetery in Retreat. Friends may call during a visitation from 10-12 on Saturday before the service.
