Shirley L Copus-Roberts

Shirley L. Copus-Roberts, age 69 of Gays Mills, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her children after a six year courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 27, 1945 to William Clyde and Eunice Geraldine (Swinson) Morelock. She married Herbert Copus, Sr. and together they had six children. Shirley and Herbert later divorced and she married George Roberts. She is survived by her children: Sherrie (Alan) Sime, Herbert (Angie) Copus, Jr., Kathaleen (Tillman) Showen, Annette (Richard) Kirchhoff, Michael Copus and Timothy (Amanda) Copus; grandchildren: Chad (Sarah) and Aaron (Regina Nommensen) Sime, Kelssi (Tim) Deluhery, Wyatt Copus, Jessica (Tim Slack) Showen, Angel and Abby Olson and Nicholas and Shawn Kirchhoff, Katie Boyer and Savannah Copus, Jason (Kari) Showen, Bobbi (Rick) Goodman, Austin and Cloe Copus; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Carson, Rita, Johanna and Mary Sime and Tayah and Maci Goodman, Alec and Samual Showen; sisters: Margie (Rudy) Rameriz, Roxanne Gallagher; brothers: Ross (Roxanne) Morelock, and Rex Morelock; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands; one sister, Beverly Groves; one brother, Vernon Morelock. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials to the family are preferred. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at The Vosseteig Funeral Home, Hwy 131 and Sunset Ridge Drive in Gays Mills. Pastor Lorie Betz will officiate with burial in the Mook Cemetery at Rolling Ground. Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. there will be a luncheon immediately following the burial at McCormick's in Rolling Ground, located directly across from the cemetery. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Gays Mills is serving the family.
