Steven Watters, age 54 of Utah, formerly of Viroqua, Wisconsin, died peacefully at his home in Provo, Utah on October 11, 2009. Steven suffered from a devastating disease, bi-polar disorder. Be free Steven. You are now home. Steven was born to the late Roger and Ruth (Swenson) Watters January 21, 1955 in Viroqua, Wisconsin. Steven is survived by his brother Robert (Trudy) Watters, Viroqua, Wisconsin, sister, Kathleen (Terry) Sime of Richland Center, Wisconsin; sister Lynn (Chris) Fortun, Westby, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews: Carissa (Travis) Glass, Nathan Watters, Seth Watters, Kelcie (Hassan) Fortney of Viroqua, Wisconsin; Bradley (Karla Sime) of Holmen and Megan (Adam) Watters of Melvina, Katey Fortun, Menomonie, Wisconsin and Krista Fortun of Westby, Wisconsin. Great nieces and nephews: Dylan and Dalton Glass; Braydin Watters, Marissa and Colton Sime, and Ellanor and Asher Fortney. Steven was preceded in death by his parents. Fly high Steven, your troubles have gone and you are free! Walk hand-in-hand with Mom and Dad (Grandma and Grandpa). We love you blessed be your memory. A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker Street (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Pastor Dennis Hallemeier will officiate. Memorials may be directed to the family, and will be donated by the family to the clinic in Utah that cared for Steven. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
