Susan Boswick

Susan 'Suzie' L. Boswick, 71, of De Soto formerly of Chicago, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. Suzie was born in Chicago, IL, to Steven A. and Faith A (Lancaster) Bazewicz on July 1, 1942. She worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. in downtown Chicago for 33 1/2 years with perfect attendance before retiring to take care of her Mother after the passing of her Father. She cared for her Mother in her home for 14 years. She then worked at the Fox Lake Animal Hospital in Fox Lake, IL. for a few years prior to moving to Vernon County after the passing of her Mother to be closer to her sister and brother-in-law. She has worked for the last several years as an associate for Wal-Mart in Viroqua. She was an avid animal lover all her life and opened her home not only to her chosen pets but also that of strays and the abandoned. She called them her 'kids'. Suzie is survived by her sister Lori "Peach" (Tom) Cicardo; brother Steven (Sue) Boswick; nephews, William Boswick and Tom (Lisa) Cicardo Jr.; great-nephew Tommy Cicardo III; great-niece Dana Cicardo; cousins, other relatives and some of the most supportive, loving and caring friends anyone could ask for. She was loved by many for her true honest spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker St, in Viroqua. Pastor George Shick will officiate with burial Tuesday in Ridgewood Cemetery, Niles, IL. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11. The Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home of Viroqua is serving the family.
