Susann Jean Ramirez-Maybee, 75, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Alpine Breeze Nursing Home in Raytown, Missouri. Susann was born December 2, 1949, in Soldiers Grove, WI, the oldest child of Logan and Barbara (Kenner) Maybee.
Susann grew up in Franklin, Wisconsin and after graduating high school, moved to Milwaukee. In 2003, she relocated to Missouri where she settled in Kansas City.
After a long and fruitful career, Susann retired from Xerox Corporation. She was skilled in a wide range of products and services related to printing, copying and document management.
She enjoyed hobbies such as flower arrangement and researching family genealogy-she was always excited to share the information that she uncovered. She also had quite a commendable collection of angels.
Susann was a member of the Mount Zion Restoration Church in Independence, Missouri. She enjoyed Bible study, singing hymns, and the friendships she had with her church family.
Sue will be remembered for the warmth and loving guidance she so selflessly shared. She was the rock her siblings could rely on in their youth, and the one whose light illuminated even the darkest of days. Though she is no longer with us, that light will continue to shine through everyone whose life she touched.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Kathleen J. Maybee.
She is survived by her husband, Cesar J. Ramirez-Gutierres; her sisters, Connie A. Bagshaw (Doug) and Dawn M. Edwards; as well as her brother, John E. Maybee (Rosie).
