Sylvia Lee Rivera

Sylvia L Rivera, age 89 of Viroqua, passed away on November 15th, 2025, at Aspen Place after a long health battle. She was born July 26th, 1936, to Richard and Louise Schlamann in Chicago, IL. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and reading the Bible.

She is survived by one sister, Patricia Smith; her children: Charles E. Sullivan, Robert H. (Lori) Hanson, and Rita L. Rivera; her grandchildren, Nikki, Jason, Tony, Chuck, and Christen Sullivan, Andrew (Lauren) Hanson, Rebecca Hanson, and Nicholas Rivera. She is further survived by several great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Louise Schlamann; brothers Theodore Schlamann and James Schlamann; a niece, Tamara Morrow; and a grandson, Michael J. Mills.
