Tanya R. Hammond

Tanya Hammond, age 48, died peacefully at her Westby home Friday, April 11, 2014 following a short battle with cancer. She was born November 8,1965 in Viroqua. She graduated from Westby High School and joined the army. She was known to be a very caring and loving person who always tried to do the right thing, even if it meant a sacrifice on her part. She was a very loving mother. Tanya enjoyed cleaning no matter where she went, cooking, cruising, and lots of coffee. She is survived by her two sons: Christopher and Kasey; one daughter, Katie; grandson, Sidney Ricks; mother, Bonnie Larson; brothers: Rick, Rodney, Ryan and Timothy; sisters: Tara, Bonnie, Darnell, RoxAnne and Vickie; and several cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. Tanya was preceded in death by her son, Brandon; father, Leslie Larson; brother, Randy; sister-in-law, Pat; and a niece, Besty; A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig Funeral Home in Westby. The Vosseteig Funeral Home of Westby is serving the family. .
