Theodore Ishihara

Theodore Masahiko Ishihara, age 84 of Genoa, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 Theodore Masahiko Ishihara, age 84 of Genoa, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Bland-Bekkedal Center for Hospice in Viroqua. He was born on September 27, 1931 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of Shosho and Tsuruo (Nago) Ishihara, both originally from Japan. Theodore served in the U.S. Arrmy during the Korean War. He was an electrical engineer for 45 years and had been employed at: Wells Gardner Electrical Corp, Zenith, Admiral and Hoffman. In June of 1966 he was united in marriage to Lucille Janette Buckles and she preceded him in death on June 8, 2002. Theodore is survived by two daughters: Debra (Mark) Umberger of Genoa and Sherri Ishihara of LaCrosse; two granddaughters: Ashley Umberger (fianc Stephen Marcinik) and Alyssa (Robbie) Zube; one brother George Ishihara and one sister Sachikou Kamiya both of Kaneohi, Hawaii; and the Umberger family. In addition to his parents and wife, Theodore was preceded in death by two brothers, Nobu and Morris Ishihara, both of Kaneohi, Hawaii. Blessed be our memory of Theodore Masahiko Ishihara. Private funeral services were held with a military burial next to his wife at the Northwest Prairie Cemetery, rural Viroqua.
